Parking and location
The Activity Centre is tucked away in the north-east corner of the country park overlooking Black Swan Lake, with two adjoining car parks and one bus stop away from the main entrance. Facilities
Our facilities include changing rooms with a lake view terrace, showers, toilets, function rooms and a café. The main entrance of the park is a 15-minute walk away with a popular café and award-winning play park.
What to Bring
Please bring with you
· A FULL change of clothing, including underwear & shoes.
· Shorts & T-shirt for wet activities - to wear under a wetsuit (we’ll provide a wetsuit)
· Waterproofs for the prevailing weather conditions.
· Trainers for land activities (these may get wet & muddy!)
· Spare trainers for water activities - e.g. old trainers or neoprene shoes. Flip flops, sliders and crocs are unsuitable and not allowed.
· A Towel
· Hair-tie if you have long hair.
· Hat, sunglasses, Sun cream, Water Bottle, Snacks.
· A packed lunch & A warm jumper/hoodie to wear during lunch. (if you are staying all day)
· Any medication that you will require during the week - please give to your instructor on arrival, labelled with your name and dosage instructions.
· Please leave jewellery & Valuables at home. (Mobile phones, smart watches etc.)
All children will need to be signed in at the start of the day and signed out at the end of the day by a parent/guardian. Please notify an instructor at the start of the day if the person collecting your child will not be the same as the person who dropped them off or if you require earlier collection.
If you or your child are booked in for full day course or activities, then please bring a packed lunch and snacks with you. We do have a café on site serving hot and cold drinks along with sandwiches, cakes and other snacks.
Additionally, if you or your child require medication such as inhalers or epi-pens then pack that too. During the summer months our meadow is in bloom so if you suffer from hay fever bring your antihistamines!
