About The Grove
The Grove is a 2.9ha Local Wildlife Site consisting of woodland, rough grass and scrub, and two balancing ponds. It is situated on the North of the M4 in Shinfield, and is isolated by roads on all sides (including in the North by the Black Boy Roundabout). The site has no formal access arrangements.
The site is home to common lizards, slow worms, common frogs, and field voles.
The grasslands are maintained by a combination of grass-topping and grazing, to help maintain the biodiversity of the site.
Parking Facilities
There is no formal access to The Grove. This site is a wildlife conservation site.
