A Western Martial Arts School training weekly in the Historical European Martial Art of Fiore dei Liberi , c1400. This local group teach both unarmed and medieval weapons and will be presenting their displays in the main arena and have a medieval camp set up for the weekend for you to learn some tales of old!

FAQ's

Do I need to print my ticket?

No need to print—digital tickets on your smartphone are perfectly fine. You should have received a confirmation email when making your booking to confirm your tickets which can be shown to us on the day.

Can I book tickets on the day?

Yes, tickets will be available on the day, but we highly recommend booking in advance to secure your place, save money and avoid any disappointment.

Is there parking available?

Car parking charges apply from 6am-10pm daily. Pay and display tickets are available from the car park ticket machines. Payment is by cash, credit or debit card. The main post code for the entrance to the park is RG10 0TH.

Will there be live jousting?

Absolutely! There will be jousting tournaments during the day as well as displays from the Exiles and Birds of Prey. The live jousting features bold knights competing in spectacular displays of skill and bravery.

Can I dress up?

Costumes are more than welcome to be worn and we would love to see you dressed to impress!

Can I bring swords or other arms to the event?

For the safety of all within the realm, no sharp or bladed weapons are permitted on site. This includes real swords, daggers, or anything with a live edge. Replica weapons (such as costume swords or ceremonial pieces) must remain sheathed, hidden, or securely fastened at all times.

Are dogs allowed? 

Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome, but only if they are comfortable around horses and loud noises.. Please ensure your dog is kept on a lead at all times and that you clean up after them.

Can I set up a gazebo?

No, pop-up structures such as gazebos, tents, or large umbrellas are not allowed, as they can obstruct the view for other attendees.

Can I volunteer/ work at the event?

Absolutely! Please email us on eventbookings@wokingham.gov.uk and the team will get back to you as soon as possible.

Is the event accessible for wheelchair users?

Yes, we strive to make the event as accessible as possible. There is dedicated parking and suitable toilet facilities. However, please note that the event takes place on a field, which includes some natural terrain. Accessibility may be impacted by weather conditions.

Can I bring my own food?

Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own food. We also have our food village available for food and beverage on the day to be purchased from.
