Compliance Status

Wokingham Borough Council is committed to making its website accessible, in line with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No.2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Compliance Status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances outlined below.

1. WCAG 1.4.10 Reflow - At 400% zoom and on a small screen (320x256) the top of the cookie banner is cut off. .

2. WCAG 1.4.3 Contrast (minimum) - Our Chat Bot, provided by Netcall, Liberty Connect, has placeholder text 'Enter your message'. This does not have sufficient colour contrast.

3. The Chat Bot also has text reading 'Wokingham Borough Council' that at 400% magnification is cut off. We have discussed with the third party provider and they have not been able to fix it. 

As these don't stop core functionality of the Chat bot, we continue to use it.

We have a longer term goal (12 months) of improving the Chat bot functionality. We plan to ensure these issues are fixed in this time.
